You Gotta Be Kidding!

Two blizzards within a week? Plus, there was snow a couple of days earlier, and they say there will be more next Monday. It's really a bit much.

I'm getting kind of tired of the automated phone calls too. Got a third one this morning from the Township. Oooops - no, this one was from the Police, but it was the same as the other two. Then there was one last night from the Electric Company. We did get power back the night before, but the message told me they were sorry we don't have it yet and they'll get to us as soon as possible. I think they're playing these tapes too often. The quality is deteriorating badly.

We had snow last night, and this morning it's rain, so we now have slush which will freeze nicely later. I got it scraped off my steps, but can't go farther than that. Doesn't matter. No one is coming, and I'm not going anywhere. Unless I lose electric again, and then the police will come help me anyway. Uh-oh. I see big fat flakes coming down now, and the wind is picking up.

I've been throwing bread and cereal out to the birds. Not what they really need, but it's what I have.

Well, I'm prepared, except for radio batteries, which I still forgot - unless we lose power again. Can't do anything about it, so might as well make the most of "leisure" time, and enjoy TV and computer access as long as I have it.

Good luck, everyone. Here we go again!

we haven't been hit as bad as you guys but this is ridiculous
there was a foot on the ground and my son just came in from shoveling and he says it feels like 6 inches
and it is heavy wet snow
all the power lines are weighed down and that is worrying everyone

I loved the story about the police coming to help

and of course Lisa - what a great friend she is!

stay safe
it'll be spring any day now
right?

It's almost all gone here, except for huge piles in parking lots and on my back deck, which seldom sees any sun. I didn't know birds could eat cereal; maybe I'll feed mine some. I saw 8 deer in the yard today, and I wished I could feed them!

Oh, I do feel for you guys!! Last year when we had so much so Seattle just came to a complete stop because they just never have snow like that or at least not in the last 30 years and everything shut down, no taxis, no buses, airport shut down and the streets didn't get cleared because they simply don't have that kind of equipment! I do hope things warm up some soon! And you're right! Can't do a damn thing about it!! I'm holding good thoughts and urging spring to get up off her ass and show up!
