Traveler, the path is nothing more than your footsteps;
traveler, there is no path, a path is made as you go.
You make the path as you go, and on looking back
you see a trail that never can be walked again.
Traveler, there is no path, only a wake in the sea.

Sunflowers
I just love sunflowers.
Had great success growing them one year, and then never could manage to make them grow for several years in a row, wherever I was living. I didn't even try for a long time here, but this year I decided to try it.
As it turned out, they are abut the only flowers that did grow this year.
Your sunflowers are just beautiful. I don't have any sun in my yard so they won't grow or bloom but I love them. I saw the protest on t.v. last night about that stupid guy with his ignorant comments. They said he would not take back what he said about the children!
I'm so happy for your lovely sunflowers, Bobbie! I have had similar experience with them. One year, when the girls were little, we had gigantic ones - at least 8' tall. They were planted in a ring and we have photos of us standing among them, so dwarfed by their greatness and beauty. That is the last time I have had a lot of sunflowers. Last year we had maybe three of the smaller variety pop up. That's it.

ReplyDeleteYour pictures of your sunflowers are beautiful! You certainly have a "green thumb"
ReplyDeleteThey are just lovely and certainly a sign that summer is here!
Hope you are having a good week!

I never tire of seeing Sunflowers.
ReplyDeleteThey don't get so huge here!
I've never been able to grow them. Your sunflowers make me happy too :)

Thanks for reminding me to go look at mine, snap a few photos - and blog them!
