Our Australian friend, Tracey, hosts Shadow Shot Sunday for us every week, at Hey Harriet. If you have any interesting pictures that you have taken of shadow, why not join in?
Last summer I took a picture of shadows on a window blind. Nothing spectacular, but I kind of like it. About a week ago I noticed shadows on the same window, and the contrast between summer and winter caught my eye.

There is an amazing difference isn't there? At this time of year my favorite would have to be the first one! I scrolled all the way down on Harriet's blog but couldn't find the sign-in place, but I'll keep checking. In the meantime I'll go ahead and post a shadow! Have a great weekend, Bobbie!
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting observation and a nice idea to compare the seasonal shadows. I think the summer shadows look more lively. But then I also look more lively in summer compared to winter :)
ReplyDeleteVenetian blinds lend themselves to shadow-shooting!
ReplyDeleteI like it, the contrast of summer and winter...alright already...come on spring!
ReplyDeleteI love it! You could almost turn partterns like that into a giant wall hanging. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great backdrop for a shadow..very soft and lovely..
ReplyDeleteHappy SSS..
Those sure tell the tale of two seasons - nice work!
ReplyDeleteAh yes, quite a difference indeed... my kitty loves to play with the shadows on the blinds when the wind blows... it's rather funny!
ReplyDeleteHug♥
Beautiful and rather mysterious!
ReplyDeletebobbie, I love the shadows and the difference! And how do you know that the shadows on my walls have always been there? Have you been in my house when I wasn't looking? Bwahahahahahaha! :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the first shot.
ReplyDeleteCool - so glad that you picked up on that! We like both pictures....although we like the view outside of "window #1"!
ReplyDeleteNEATO!!!! Those are sooooooo cool.
ReplyDeleteI love them.
Great comparison of seasonal shadows! The difference is quite incredible!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Great shadow results!
ReplyDeleteThe contrast is interesting as the mood changes in each photo.
ReplyDeleteLove the shots, very creative.
ReplyDeleteVery clever!
ReplyDeleteI don't know that I have a favorite. I like the crispness of the first but I like bare branches anyway so this subtle shadow of them appeals as well
Great find.
What a fascinating study of the two seasons. Hang in there - spring will soon be turning everything green again for you, while we dip our toes into autumn.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt for me, the warmer light of summer attracts. Keen observation windows for the seasonal shadows, Bobbie.
ReplyDeleteSimple shot but great observation on your part to capture it the way you did. Great contrasting of the subject.
ReplyDeleteDramatic contrast, huh? Summer, branches w/ leaves while winter just branches.
ReplyDeleteAhhh... aren't we addicted to catch shadows now and trying to define every inch of our pix?
Great job, girl!
The shadows on the blinds are like ever-changing pieces of art. It's a great idea for SSS.
ReplyDeleteVery cool juxtaposition. Great idea.
ReplyDeleteHappy SSS, Bobbie! (hug)
