Shadow Shot Sunday means that Tracey, at Hey Harriet, over in Australia is hosting another day's meme, and there will be lots of fun pictures of shadows to view.
Today I have kind of a silly picture. I was waiting in a parkiing lot, and watching the gulls and other birds that frequent the place. First I saw a gull just walking around in circles.

As he walked along, the angle of the sun made him out to be a very tall birdie.

I just thought it was a pretty funny shadow.
I agree. He does look tall.
ReplyDeleteOh that's a good one! He's strutting arond like, "Hey look at me, I'm a heron"!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think its silly but rather delightful! ANN
ReplyDeleteThose gulls can look pretty big -- from the right angle! And shadows are funny, a chair in our kitchen just seemed to get a taller and taller back as the sun moved across the kitchen. Have a great weekend, Bobbie!
ReplyDeleteHe is strutting his tall shadow proudly..tee hee
ReplyDeleteWhat a tame birdie you had there?
ReplyDeleteA perfect & so nature taken.
Good job!
Maybe he thought his shadow was pretty funny too....hence the walking in circles??!!
ReplyDeleteThe last photo looks neat with the shadow and lines. I think the gull is on official business.
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute! He looks like he's ready to head off to his car and drive away harhar!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot Bobbie! Thanks for your comments regarding my niece.
ReplyDeleteCute! Looks like he's on a mission. Perhaps he spotted a tasty looking crumb ahead and he's trying to beat his shadow to the snack. My money is on the shadow getting there first! :)
ReplyDeleteCool shot. I wonder if he was chatting with the tall, odd-looking bird walking with him. Fun shot.
ReplyDeleteGreat shadow shots! You even have a double shadow in the first photo, the car and the gull both cast a shadow! You are so creative no matter where you are!
ReplyDeleteThat is funny! In his shadow he looks almost like a person.
ReplyDeleteLoved you very tall bird.
ReplyDeleteI think looking for shadows makes us more observant!
I love watching the gulls in the parking lot, I wonder if they notice their shadows :)
ReplyDeletei love gulls, they're one of my favorites. we have them everywhere in colorado....strange, right?
ReplyDeleteGood shadow catch!
ReplyDeleteCute shadow shot. I bet that bid is feeling like a big shot ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove how you got the bird, especially, and its shadow.

It is quite incredible how long shadows may be from the smallest things! This gull's shadow looks great!
ReplyDeleteStruttin'!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteA funny shadow and great pictures! I especially like the second one because the car-park markings make such a cool background for the bird and his shadow.
ReplyDeleteAnd how could I have missed this on its actual posting date?? very cute! :-D
ReplyDeleteYa made ME smile with this one ;--)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
