Thematic Photographic

Signs - that's the theme Carmi has chosen for this week's Thematic Photographic, at Written, Inc. I have always been fascinated with signs. I think some people feel I'm just a little crazy, because I do take a lot of pictures of signs.


I have three to show you. I've shown them all on my blog at one time or another. The first is one that I took in Pacific Grove, California. I think it is my all time favorite sign.



The other two were taken by my daughter, Kathryn, in Los Altos, California on a farm/nature preserve the family was visiting. I like them both very much.

    Those are all three wonderful signs. It's clear why you love them.

    I like the official-ness of the Butterfly Crossing sign.

    I love all of the signs, but my favorite is the last one.

    love the butterfly zone. Visited a butterfly house last week. It was so humid and warm -- and the music was soft and subtle, and the colors were bright and exotic.

    Signs are fun to photograph, especially when you find some really interesting ones like you did. I don't know which I like best as they are all good.

    Your daughter clearly inherited your keen eye for detail and composition. This is a wonderfully inspiring set of sign-themed pics, and a great way to kick off the week.
