Traveler, the path is nothing more than your footsteps; traveler, there is no path, a path is made as you go. You make the path as you go, and on looking back you see a trail that never can be walked again. Traveler, there is no path, only a wake in the sea. - Antonio Machado

Shadow Shot Sunday #64
Once again, it is Shadow Shot Sunday (or Saturday, if you live in the U.S.), and Tracy of Hey Harriet is busy coordinating shadowy photos from all over the world.
My shadow shots today are of two creatures I have always found interesting. First, pictures I took last year of a mama turtle, on her way to lay her eggs.
Second, is a little friend I found crawling up the wall in my living room. Oh my! Your shadow makes you look so big and ferocious! She was really very small.
I like spiders. They eat less pleasant bugs, and spin such pretty webs.
Nice shadows and good choices .. the mama turtle works as an illustration to the Will Rogers post
ReplyDeleteI shivered when I saw the second photo! It's good but creepy! Really love the turtle shadow! Looks so cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots - I prefer the turtle though! Spiders make my blood run cold . . .
ReplyDeleteLove the turtle among all the shadows :)
ReplyDeleteThat spider looks a bit like an ant. Pretty neat to know the turtle is on her way to lay eggs. I have never seen such a thing.
ReplyDeletevery nice! i especially liked the second one with you in it :)
ReplyDeleteThank`s for the song. ;-)
ReplyDeleteNice pictures - I love all the different shadows out there.
ReplyDeleteCan't you almost feel the little turtle's pain. Great shot. And speaking of pain, that spider looks as though it would have a nasty bite!
ReplyDeleteyes - that spider better just stay right there!! Love the shadow of it though! Great turtle shot too!
ReplyDeleteTurtle seems so cute going back to lay eggs and have her retreat for awhile.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... the 2nd one is cute though... good catch.
Happy SSS
How wonderful! The macro of the spider's shadow is amazing. Who (but you) would have 'thunk' to snap THAT one?
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Eeeeewwww, spideys...did I say gross, however, I love the turtle, do they eat spiders...hmmmm...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great turtle SS..umm the spider ones good too..it looks like the white tips we have here..without the tip ;P Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteNice pics for SSS. I like the spider one even if I don't like spiders. :)
ReplyDeleteThe turtle is cute and looks so tiny in the second photo! Oh yucky spider! Eeeeeek! Nice shot though ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the turtle shots! And the spider is fabulous, Bobbie!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Sylvia
Oh nice..I love the turtle. It looks similar to the kind we have on the pond, but I have not been lucky enough to see one going to lay eggs. Also love the insect....
ReplyDeletethey're both excellent photos. I like turtles very much and ants are fascinating creatures...
ReplyDeleteWonderful turtle photos! Lovely shadows! She looks so very round -- but of course, that's her shape! I love how so many of us have sympathized with her! LOL! Now, is that an insect or an arachnid in photo #3?
ReplyDeleteI love the animal shadows -- what fun!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, bobbie! I wouldn't be calm though if that spider were on my living room wall... Eeeek! :)
ReplyDeleteNice post. I like spiders also.
