Shadow Shot Sunday

Our friend, Tracy, of Hey Harriet is hosting Shadow Shot Sunday for us once again. Thanks, Tracy!

I recently drove up the Garden State Parkway - a trip I must have taken 500 times or so in the past nine years. It was early morning this time, and I thought the shadows across the Parkway were very pretty.

On the way, I looked over and saw the shadow of my own car on the road as well. Not all that pretty, but interesting.

  6. Love the second one, the shadow car; it's as if it's passing by in a parallel world, hidden in plain sight.

  7. I do hope you are feeling better! Great shadow shots! It is funny how once you start looking for shadows, you can't stop and begin seeing them everywhere! Love the first shot! Had to chuckle at The Summer Kitchen Girls -- woman getting ticketed for taking shadow shots of her in her care! That's us these days -- seeing shadows everywhere!

    Enjoy your day!

  8. I especially like that top shot, the empty, open road is so alluring, and you're right, the shadows really make it special!

  11. I 'specially like the shadows that stretch across the the highway in the first photo... I think your roads look so much smoother than ours. Ours tends to be so much more torn up...

  21. The shadows streching across the highway are very interesting. Like you dont want to run over them with your car, as if they are alive.
