Shadow Shot Sunday

Shadow Shot Sunday is brought to us by Tracy, at Hey Harriet. Thank you, Tracy. We're so happy you're there for us.

I see that the Virginia Creeper has pushed its way up from under the back deck again. I see it every time I walk out there, and always tell myself I must get rid of it, but either I have my hands full at the time, or I'm on my way to an appointment and can't stop. I really must do that soon.

  1. It makes for a wonderful shadow shot though...

  2. Oh, I love your red leaf shadows -- even if they do pile up now and then -- ah, it's just that time of year!! These are really delightful, Bobbie!

    Have a great day!

  3. Why do we disparage weeds? Some, like this creeper, are stunning in their beauty (if not their behavior). They leave nice shadows, too!

  4. Great shadows. Like the second shot in particular, with the contrast between the hard shadows of the Virginia creeper and the softer tree shadows.

  5. Love the transmission of the 5 fingers leaves. From green, yellow, red and crispy brown? Wonder weather that give us a wonder thoughts of everything.

    Cheers for the great shots.

  6. Beautiful foliage (and shadow) shots, Bobbie! Is Virginia Creeper a noxious weed in your area? We have many such plants here--beautiful but harmful to the local ecology.

  7. I like Virginia Creeper, mine died back quite some time ago so this is a welcome sight.

  10. Oh but it looks so pretty. Must it be removed? At least you captured some lovely shadow shots of it before pulling it out :)

  13. It may be trying to tell you something. I'd leave it and see what it has to say.

    By the way...

You left a comment on my Pick a Peck of Pixels, today (Sunday) and somehow I deleted it. If you come back and leave it again I promise not to delete it. I don't know how I did the first time. lol
