Happy Doctors' Day

Well, at least that's what the sign said in my doctor's office today.

Had to go up the Parkway in teeming rain. But it did let up on the way back. The Almighty doesn't seem to think we've had enough rain yet I guess. We are still trying to pump away the floods from last time, but yesterday and today we got more. Along the Parkway, we usually see the wetlands with all kinds of little trickling streams making pretty patterns.
Today it looked like this.

Breakwater Road was blocked off yesterday, but is passable today, but this is how Tabernacle Road looked today.

I don't think this homeowner will be able to get in or out of his driveway.

And this is just a small part of Mr. Wuerker's vineyard. You should see the rest of it!

Oh, but from sunny California, my daughter sent me these. She says he looks as if he just needs a tin cup beside him. No, he doesn't really play yet. That's his dad's guitar. But he says he might want to start a band.

But whatever the weather, the forsythia abounds, so it can't be all bad.

Shadow Shot Sunday #45

Shadow Shot Sunday is brought to us by Tracey, at Hey Harriet, coming from Australia, where their calendar is a day ahead of ours in the U.S.

Today I have a picture that I saw as I looked down from my back deck.

I also noticed the forsythia beginning to bud.

Please forgive me if I do not get a chance to make many comments. Have a house full of guests from New York and California.

Mellow Yellow Monday #6

Hi. It's time again for Mellow Yellow Monday, thanks to Drowsey Monkey. And I say it's time for spring flowers. I'm tired of waiting.

The forsythia is in my back yard. The pictures were taken last year at different times, in different light. The daffodils were from a bunch I bought just last weekend.

So many different shades of yellow! I think I like the last one the best.
