Sky Watch #22
Hello again. Time for another Sky Watch. This meme is hosted by Klaus, Fishing Guy, Sandy, Louise, Wren, and Ivar, and we are very grateful to them for their hard work coordinating all of this each week.
I always seem to be a week behind. Last week I drove down to Cape May, and I saw that a number of the wonderful old Victorian houses were already decorated for Christmas. I'm sure by now, there are many more, and that these have added decorations as well.
Cape Scape is a lovely one, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
One of my favorites, also on the water, is The Peter Shields Inn.
The Marquis de Lafayette is not Victorian, but they have hung wreaths everywhere.
I have no idea if this one has a name (most do) but I thought it was very pretty.
Angel of the Sea had just started to decorate. It's really two houses, connected, and every year they outline the roofs and all other angles in white lights.
I had a clear blue sky while taking these. Perhaps now I can go down to Cape May and capture some of the lights as well for another Sky Watch. A night sky would be an interesting backdrop.

Such wonderful old buildings!! I think I was in Cape May once3, many years ago, but I don't remember seeing those.
That first picture is nice. They really seem to like Christmas wreaths.

What amazing buildings and a great eye for capturing them!
The beautiful clear blue is the perfect backdrop for those colorful buildings!
Thank you for sharing these decorated homes, I love old homes and when they decorate them it seems so right.
And that's why Cape May will always be one of my favorite places on earth. So pretty and charming.
They are really beautifully decorated. It certainly puts you in the mood for the holidays.

What 'Gone with the wind' buildings. They are gorgeous. And the bluer than blue sky is a perfect backdrop to them. I once went to Atlanta and looked long and hard for houses like these but none of those I saw could compare.
That's a LOT of wreaths! ;-)
The sky is so blue and I have to admit I'm more than a tad jealous!
I was raises in a sea side resort with such grand old buildings as these.

Now I see why so many people rave about going to Cape May! You've given me such a nice glimpse of the coast.
Hope your holiday season is fun.
Those are such beautiful homes! Happy SWF!!
Were Victorians particularly passionate about Christmas? It seems to suit the era, somehow. It's nice to see the Cape May Ladies dressed for the holidays.
