Shadow Shot Sunday
Shadow Shot Sunday is a fun meme, hosted at Hey Harriet, from Australia, where it is, indeed, Sunday, although it is still Saturday in the States. Please visit the site and join in the fun, or go there to see many beautiful shadow photos.
When I last visited the Eye Doctor, the sun was very brightly shining through her front windows. I tried one angle, then another. She has lovely lace valances on the windows. The sun is so bright that you can barely make them out. But their shadows on the ceiling make an interesting pattern.

Interesting! That second shot really highlights the patterns. You've got me looking around for neat shadows, now... another dimension to this whole digital camera thing - yet another topic to feed my obsession... 'tis a fine madness, however! /Deb
bobbie, some lovely flowers all in a row... :)
love the second shot - really cool
That is neat - I would have wanted to shoot it, too!
I'm chuckling at the thought of you asking the eye doctor to wait for a second so that you can catch the perfect shadow shot....we're taking our cameras everywhere ;)
My fave is the second one as well,
way to sieze the moment Bobbie!
Very cool. Love those shadows.
Love your shots! Particularly the last one! Just beautiful, delicate! Thanks for sharing.
Interesting and clever take ...
I too was wondering what people were thinking as you were taking shots of the ceiling...another wierdo...just like me driving all over the road with my arm out the window...hey, you do what you gotta do...right!

Great ceiling shadows! The first picture looked like shadows from letters on the window - but now we see the pretty lace pattern!
Yes, it really did cast some odd shadows up their right up on the ceiling! Very neat!
Hope you are doing well.

I agree, very interesting. I am learning so much by participating in these photo memes. I'm starting to look in places I never thought to look before, like ceilings.
Very interesting and fancy shadows on the ceiling. I don't think I would have guessed what it was if you hadn't mentioned it. I might have guessed iron grill work on a railing outside the window. It looks quite delicate.
Pretty lacy shadow!
Love those subtle shadows on the ceiling. Very pretty. It seems a few shadow shooters had Doc appointments this week. Just saw some Doc office shadows over at Work of the Poet to. Hope you're having a great weekend :)
Very interesting shot Bobbie. Love the pattern on the ceiling, happy Sunday :D
This looks like a pleasant waiting room. It makes for a good eye test: what can you see on the ceiling?
Great shadows..the curtain really gives a nice look..Happy SSS.
So, what did the doctor say when you pulled out your camera? I LOVE it!
I really like how muted the shadows are
Two interesting shadow shots! After watching others for a while I've decided to participate today at Sacred Ruminations.
Hugs and blessings,
Awesome shadow, however did it get up there.
I love any kind of filtered light. I'm glad your eye doctor is so feminine.
lovely flowery icicle patterns on the cealing :) Lacey shadows turn out great
The lacey shadow looks like flower pattern icicles, very cool
Very interesting shadows. I thought it was somehow cast from a fern tree. Was your eye-doc curious about why you wanted to take a photo of her ceiling?
I realise myself somethimes, that the places you can find shadows are so simple, but you only have to think about it !
Ha don't think you need glasses if you could see these shadows. Didn't they wonder what you were doing when taking a picture of the roof.
Actually, the waiting room was empty, and I told the doctor later that I had taken photos of the ceiling. She went out to look for herself, and said it was fun.
