Sky Watch Friday
I love to watch the skies, but cold and wind have kept me inside a lot lately. I did get out the day these pictues were taken, because, despite dire predictions by the weatherman of sleet and snow, the day dawned bright and sunny. By afternoon it was a little cloudy, but not very, as attested to by these photos.
But today, and every day, skies will seem brighter now that Barack Obama has become our President! and, "We have chosen HOPE over fear."
Let us see your skies. Ivar, Fishing guy, Klaus, Louise, Sandy and Wren host Sky Watch every week for us.

Love those trees stretching UP UP UP to touch the sky ...
Thank you for your warm kind comments today, and most other days.
It means much to me,
David
I look forward to YOU watching the skies more often. Many thanks.
Greetings from London.
Nice winter skies, and some beautiful tall trees!
I love the trees too! especially the way they appear to be standing in line in the 2nd shot
Pretty tree silhouttes against the partly cloudy sky; always a pleasure to see.
Stay warm.
And about those outsider, outsider art sculptues in N.S., I may just post several more on ther photo blog sometime soon! They're really somethin'.
I'm like you, I love the bare branches against the sky! They always look as though they're etched there. Really beautiful shots! Do stay warm and thanks for sharing, Bobbie.
These are beautiful. I love the colors!
Wonderful shot. Your right the skies will seem a little brighter now. =) Hope you have a wonderful day.
Great SkyWatch photos. Wonderful with the trees in the foreground.
Bobbie: You took those winter skies also but got a lot more blue.
I like your wish for better times.
The trees make these shots spectacular!
Beautiful winter skies and I love the angle of the first photo. These trees seem to touch the sky!
These trees with bare limbs are beautiful against this sky.
The sky does look cold but in the second photo there is a wonderful brightness about it.
Always love bare trees against cloudy sky, that's a super combo.
Hope over fear is right. I love these views.
I just removed a blog from my blogroll whose owner called President Obama a closet marxist. I am tired of that sort of sniping and meanness. It has no place in this world if we are to move on.
So true, Bobbie. All the skies are a little less gray since Tuesday.
Hi Bobbie..
Love your cold looking skywatch post!
Hope over fear; say it loud and clear! Yes we can.
The bare trees look so delicate against this muted sky. Very, very nice scenes.
I can't help it. I just love tree silhoettes. Thesed are gorgeous shots! And I agree that everything looks brighter now.

very lovely Bobbie!
Hi Bobbie, I like those cold looking skies. You can keep them, ours are warmer.
Happy SkyWatching, it's been a while. Today my sky is one from Florida.
..
I like the silver in the sky, in addition to the bare branches.
Certainly hopeful skies. I hope the hopes the world puts on one man may somehow be reasized.
Bare tree against the sky, like living sculptures. This has been a great week for cultivating hope, things are definitely looking up. Happy SWF!
You have truly captured such wonderful light in your shots. Trees without their leaves often are more interesting than with their leaves and you clearly demonstrate that with these fine images.
Love the silvery light - perfect backdrop for those strong silhouettes.
bobbie, I love both of these but that first one took my breath away! It looks like a silver engraving!
Methinks I'd stay inside too with weather like this, but I'm glad you snapped these to share ... they're beautiful.
Beautiful pictures!
I love the light and atmosphere of the second.
