It's far from perfect. But it has been passed at long, long last!
We've heard the opposition tell us over and over that "the people" were against it. I am "the people", as are millions of others who are now daring to hope again that our needs just may be met sometime in the near future. I think that the surveys spoken of by the opposition must have been very selective.

About time! I thought it wouldn't happen for you, so it was nice when I heard the news.
I can't believe that people actually opposed this bill. Have they no compassion for less fortunate folk? This is just the beginning - it will be tweaked and improved as time passes, I'm sure.
perhaps now the scare tactics will calm down and people will actually look at the bill rather than react to the loons at FOX
I am thinking we should be thanking someone for making President Obama dig in and get this done .. I think I would like to see that obnoxiously faux tanned Senator STFU now ... and I hope that in the future the President acts more Republican and presses to get his bills passed the way he did this at the 11th hour .. a little more Repug pressure and a little less Democratic nice would make everyone stand up and cheer the man we opted to have represent us vs the Maverick who promised to be Bipartisan and hasnt.
I hope this will lead to something.. it has been really awful...
It IS something. A humble beginning. President Obama would have done a lot more with this, had the Republicans, anti-choice types, homophobes, racists and wingnut religious zealots hadn't fought him every step of the way.
