Shadow Shot Sunday #55

Yae! It's Shadow Shot Sunday again. Thanks to our Australian friend, Tracy, at Hey Harriet.

For the past two days we have had way too much rain to be good for my garden. It will soon be a swamp. Over four inches in two days. But now we are going into a period of 80 degrees plus, and sunshine. No happy medium.

I took a picture of the tall, shadowy trees that surround my back deck.

Then I took a picture of the shadows those trees made on the deck itself.

Do you enjoy shadows as much as we do? Join in!

  1. We had tons and tons of sunshine in the last couple of weeks but now we have a lot of rain coming in for the next few days which I don't mind... it helps keeps the forests wet and less chance of fires. Unfortunately we have had some fires start up in the mountains already because it is dry.

    Your photos are beautiful.

  11. Those soft tree shadows on your deck are pretty. Hope the sun remains out for you. A swamp in your yard doesn't sound fun! The weather has also been a bit crazy here of late. Enjoy your weekend :)

  12. I'm acquiring the same swamp in my garden...enough all ready...

Your post below is wonderful, I caught bits and pieces of the speech yesterday, I'm afraid we are far too primitive to understand what 'love one another' means. If we kept religion out of everything, the world would be so much better off.

You can believe in a higher power, it's called kindness and caring of all living things,it's universal, it's spiritual, not judgmental of how I think you should believe.

My father, a member of his baptist church since 1950, is now being TOLD he has to sign up to be evaluated as a member and to what status he should be placed...my father helped physically build this church and went faithfully every Sunday and now this, he is hurt beyond repair. Is this being Christian...? Why is it always about the money!

Thanks for your caring thoughts! We are quickly approaching zero-point, those that don't get it will have leave...

  14. Shadows of a tree! With warm temperatures the best place to sit and read a good book.

  15. Nice shadows, looks like a good place to sit in the shade once the rain has ended. We haven't been getting many shadows here in California of late or sun on our solar cells.
I must thank Sweet Repose for binging your essay to my attention, very good.
    Glad you enjoyed my shadows.
