Traveler, the path is nothing more than your footsteps;
traveler, there is no path, a path is made as you go.
You make the path as you go, and on looking back
you see a trail that never can be walked again.
Traveler, there is no path, only a wake in the sea.

Shadow Shot Sunday
Shadow Shots are fun! Why not join us. Go to see Tracy at Hey Harriet to read about it.
I love trees. This one is definitely one of my favorites, and every once in a while I just have to stop and take its picture.
This is a lovely tree! The tree has character, each big limb following its own unique trail toward the sun. Naturally, the shadows are as expansive and unique as the subject. That is a beautiful yard sitting within sun and shade...
What a lovely, old tree. Bobbi; Here is the url to pictures when I did see baby snapping turtles hatch in the fall 2000.:http://naturetales.blogspot.com/search?q=baby+turtles+hatching Thank you for your comment on my today's post. Ann
Yes...trees certainly change the perspective.
ReplyDeleteSome have a lot of character. And if you get real close it can whisper words of wisdom in your heart.
ReplyDeleteVenerable tree

I share your love of trees Bobbie, they are good souls
Not only the tree is lovely but also its surroundings!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Sunday!
A well manicured lawn, with flowers and trees can't beat that scenery. Looks like the tree is too old already but looking good. Happy Sunday!

ReplyDeleteTree shadows remind me of my grandparents' garden. So lovely!
ReplyDeleteI bet that tree senses that you love it and smiles inside when it sees you with your camera. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous tree and what fine shadows the old fellow casts! You've captured them perfectly. Happy SSS to you.

ReplyDeleteWhat great photos, and what a wonderful tree.
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was that it could have been one of the "Tree Folk" from the Lord of the Rings. The last shot looks to me like it is trying to talk.
I am proud to be a tree-hugger too, what a grand old specimen!
