Update on Nest

This morning there are two chicks to be fed, and the third egg with a hole in it.

I believe I've seen that third egg moving, but Mama hasn't paid much attention to it so far this morning. She's too busy feeding the two active chicks.

It makes me laugh when she decides they've had enough, and simply settles down again on top of them.

You can click on either the hawk or eagle picture on my sidebar to go to the sites.
I apologize for the poor quality of the photos.

bobbie, I was lucky enough to have a nest develop right near my back door once. 4 or 5 chicks grew up right before my eyes... :)

Wonderful, I'll have to go check the hawks out. But have the eagles hatched, too? I didn't see any feeding activity last time I checked.
