Colors of Spring

Aren't Nature's colors amazing! I am particularly happy with the many colors of the cherry blossoms.

This is the delicate coloring of a tree in West Cape May.

And this is a tree in the National Cemetery.

There are so many other shades as well. And of course this is true of most of the other spring flowers. How many shades of daffodils! From white to deepest yellow. Most of these are pictures from the American Daffodil Society. (The minis are mine.)

And the same is true of the forsythia. And the blues and purples and greens! Even white comes in different shades, which seems almost impossible, but it is true.

The colors sing to me.

Shadow Shot Sunday

On Shadow Shot Sundays, Tracy hosts the meme for us. Check out the fun shadows everyone has found.

A lot of people seemed to enjoy my pictures of some of the Victorian houses in Cape May last week. It was a little cloudy then, but the sun came out during the week, and I decided to do some more of them.
One of my favorite places in Cape May is the Chalfonte Hotel.

The architecture is varied. I thought this one was unusual.

Many of the houses sit very high to avoid flooding during storms.

I like this one a lot.

and finally, there is this one.

HAPPY EASTER to all who celebrate it!

A Busy Month

Today begins Poetry Month. Always a favorite of mine.

It is also, as most of us are aware, the month of Passover, and of Easter.

But it also begins National Autism Awareness Month. Autism is a much misunderstood and often feared thing, experienced by many thousands of people. This should be a good time for us to read and talk and learn more about something that effects so many wonderful people among us. - Our friend, Linda, has a post today in which she refers to it as "Autism Acceptance Month" I like that so much better.

APRIL

The "April Puzzle" is not necessarily so easy as it looks. Try it, but change the cut and the number of pieces. I suggest the 87 piece "Crazy" cut.
