Creative Photography - July 3

Roger's Creative Photography is a fun thing to do. There is no particular theme, so you have the freedom to - well - to be creative.

One of my favorite places to wander with my camera is Leaming's Run Gardens. It's a beautiful wooded area, with lovely gardens in clearings in the woods along the way. While there some time ago, I found this picture waiting to be taken .

I find spider webs fascinating. I especially love to watch them being constructed, but this one was already finished - and so beautiful, sparkling with dew.

If you go to Roger's site you will find a list of participants who have some really wonderful entries waiting for you to see.

Creative Photography

This is kind of fun. I enjoyed visiting the other bloggers who entered posts in Creative Photography last week to see what sort of pictures they came up with.
There was quite a variety, and I loved most of them.

I believe that I included this picture in a blog post that I wrote a while back, about butterflies. I have cropped it a bit. The picture is of sleeping butterflies, and was taken a few years ago during the monarch butterfly migration in Cape May, NJ. I had no idea at the time that butterflies sleep, clinging to trees and bushes. They look like leaves on the mimos
a tree.
If you look closely, you can make out the orange of the butterflies' wings. When I took the picture, the sun was going down and light was fading fast - hence the need for the butterflies to find a place to sleep for the night.

If you would like to enter, follow the link to Creative Photography , read the rules and sign up before next Thursday afternoon.

Creative Photography

Saw the link to this on Dianne's blog. It sort of appealed to me and I started looking through old pics. What the heck. I'll give it a try. Don't know just how creative this is, but I kind of like it. Click on picture to enlarge.
