The Untold Story

Today I received an email from the Monterey Bay Aquarium, making me aware that today a Joint Ocean Commission Initiative, a be-partisan coalition, will be in Washington, D.C. to bring to Congress The Untold Story of Climate Change.

Julie Packard, Executive Director of Monterey Bay Aquarium, is on that commission, and will be there to help bring the facts to the attention of those in
government who can act. They will be offering a blueprint for federal ocean policy which seems practical and do-able, and may be our hope to survive what will happen to our world if no action is taken.

If I may quote, the plan is to "secure healthy oceans, improve human well being, create national wealth, and provide responsible stewardship of our resources." Their plea is that we "must integrate ocean and coastal science into the broader national climate agenda."

The above quotes are from an article in today's Huffington Post. Please read it for yourself and perhaps do whatever you are able toward saving our oceans. They do, after all, comprise the vast majority of our planet. In any case, you may find the article of interest. And you may want to investigate the online site of Monterey Bay Aquarium. It is fascinating.
