Camera Critters #23
First, let me say thank you to all of you who identified the white plume moth for me last week. I appreciate your help.
Hi. My choice of critters this week is birds. I am not a birder in any sense except that I like to walk through woods and field and listen to their song and take pictures whenever I can. Don't know a lot about them except that I like them.
I took this picture when I was visiting my daughter in California. This is the natural bridge at Santa Cruz.
While I was there I also snapped a picture of a western bluebird, near their vegetable patch. At least I think that is what it's called.
Closer to home, I got a picture of a young eastern bluebird. It let me walk up close to it and take a picture.
Even abroad, bird pictures appeal to me. These were taken in Budapest, Hungary. Don't know what they are. As I said, I just love birds, and the settings in which we find them.
I just realized - I have another picture that I took the other day. I'm going to add it now, a bit late. Both ridges of the roof are lined with birds.
What made me remember it was seeing another participant with a picture of birds on a roof. Thank you for that, Pea in a Pod!
Check out Camera Critters at Misty Dawn's site to visit other critters or to participate yourself.

Oh my! those are just amazing shots!~ I love birds because they're fun to take pics to:) I posted mine too, HERE! Happy CC!~
I love birds too - I grew up an avid bird watcher, what they call 'twitchers' now.
Great bird pictures. I like the first one with the rock full of birds the most.
These are great photos! I'm very impressed that the Blue Birds let you get that close, the ones I see fly away before I can get close enough for a good shot.
I'm with you. I love birds, but can't identify most of them. Walking through the woods and just listening to their song is very calming. I love the last picture with all the birds sitting on the roof ridge. Lisa
I’m not a ‘birder’ either but I loved your post this morning … and interesting shared ‘birds’ of my own at Small Reflections. Let’s hear it for serendipity! LOL
Hugs and blessings,
I'm not much of a bird lover, but i do like to hear them and love the photos. I've been in santa cruz a few times, since my sister's family lives in san jose! thanks for visiting!
me too love birds! Beautiful shots you got here!. Thanks for the visit.
Lovely bird photos. The last one, with the roof ridges lined with birds, is reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock's movie "The Birds." LOL
Truly wonderful captures. :)
Nice, peaceful scenery around too.
Beautiful, beautiful bird pictures in such lovely settings!
That natural bridge appears to be hot real estate for birds. Nice to see a birdie post from you!
Love your birds! I love sitting at a table in our kitchen and watch them as they fly and park in the trees across the alley and on our deck.
The photo of the natural bridge in California is most appealing. It reminds me a bit of Perce Rock in Quebec on the Gaspe Peninsula. It must be wonderful to get close to these bird sites. Lovely landscape with birds.
nice view! love all your photos, very impressive..
when birds gather together like that it's a special name but whaT??CAN'T THINK NOT FLOCK NOT COLONIZE A SPECIAL WORD??SK
an amazing natural bridge, but where does it lead to???
Bobbie: Neat capture of the birds, I like the bridge.
Great pics! I adore our feathered friends (maybe not sea gulls, though). Birdsong is one of nature's most glorious gifts.
I too like birds .. I like the birds on the roof top .. very Hitchcockian ..

You're a good bird observer !
Very nice shots, natural bridge in CA is a lovely.
This is a great series and variety of birds!! I'm a bird lover too! Wish I was better at identifying more of them, but I'm learning! I'm also fascinated with your first picture of the natural bridge! I bet the birds enjoy sitting on it and watching the world around them, and how peaceful it must be for you to watch the water flowing through the bridge! Great post!!!
These are wonderful shots. Lovely indeed. I came with an invitation.

I get such terrific lessons about birds on my visits here. You found some lovely subjects. I'll need to bring my son over to see as he enjoys all animal/bird/insect photos from the blogs.
Terrific shots. I do love birds even though they drive my husband crazy when they sit on the rafters and poop.
Beautiful, Bobbie - a nice selection of images!
Cheers, Klaus
P.S.: Hat's off to you for your insights. If only more people would read and listen!
