Sky Watch #8

The Cape May Lighthouse is located in Cape May Point State Park, NJ. I have posted so many pictures of the lighthouse that I have lost count long since. I do love this lighthouse, and the fact that it is so near to my home makes it very easy for me. This is the scene just below the light.

And this was how the lighthouse looked on that same morning, August 21st. If you enlarge the picture you may be able to make out the tiny figures of people waving to me.

A little earlier in the month I had been to the park, and the sky had a very different appearance.

A month earlier,, near sunset, I photographed the lighthouse this way. I think that I have posted this picture in my blog previously.

And in April, this was the picture it presented.

As many times as I have made it the subject of my photos, it always appears different to my eye.

Those responsible for Sky Watch Friday are Tom, Sandy, Imac and Klaus We are very grateful to the team for the time and work they put into this for us.

You may participate, or find the list of those participating at Sky Watch, here.

Great sky watch photos, I love anything with the American flag in it and anything that has to do with the ocean.

I love these. Lighthouses have always captured my imagination. It's sad they often are not manned by humans anymore. These all are so different with a great sky.

Great shots, bobbie. A sky with happy, fluffy clouds playing above a lighthouse which is always a point of interest. It is also interesting the different moods the pictures taken at different times can evoke.

Beautiful pictures of the lighthouse. Okay I know this will sound stupid, but hey I'm going to say it anyway. It is amazing that it is the same lighthouse, always the same look, but always looks different depending on the sky. Go ahead and say. I know you want to say it. Okay, I'll say it for you. Lis that was dumb. Lisa
