The Atlantic City Press has done a little article about my mom in a column called "A Life Lived."
You can find it here.
I'm not sure how long the link will be good, but likely longer than a week, which is always when the links to my freelance articles expire... This writer is an honest to goodness staffer, so let's hope it lasts a while.
The writer, Michelle Post, became interested in writing up Bobbie after reading her obituary which talked about her blog and her causes. It's always tough to tell a thousand stories and see it shrink to a sentence, but such is the business of newspaper and overall I think it's a nice tribute. I'm excited that there is one more bit for the legacy, one more validation of my mom. Boy, do I miss her.
Peace all. Kitty

This is terrific, Kitty! Bobbie deserved all of this and more! And, yes, I miss her, too. Thanks so much for sharing this with us! Sending you a big hug.

Such a nice article!! I hope Bobbie will know about this somehow. I miss her too and also send hugs to you. Thanks for sharing.
I read the article. It is nicely done. Once again, you must be so proud of your mom and I am sure that she is so proud of you. How I wish I could be there for her memorial service. Please keep us all posted as to when it is. She truly was an amazing woman.
Wonderful article. And it is true...bloggers are a community.

This is lovely. An amazing person who it was an honour to know, if only on the ether.
What a wonderful article! And so true of Bobbie and the blogging community. Bobbie was only a year older than I am and I valued her friendship and it was indeed an honor to have known her even if only through our blogs. Thanks again, Kitty, for sharing this with us.
Love to you,
Sylvia

Please be sure to post details of Bobbie's memorial service when they're decided, as I would love to attend.
I found the article from Daryl's tweet on Twitter.
A great tribute to dear Bobbie! I love how they included both Bobbie's interest in important causes & how she developed a blogging community - that she certainly did.
Thanks for being so open and sharing Kitty.
I miss her too.
This is a lovely article about Bobbie...I made a badge in memory of Bobbie if anyone want's to add it to their blog...Michelle
Thanks for sharing these things with us, Kitty. It helps a lot.
It's a nice article; one that I hope inspires those who read it to more toward the causes they believe in.
Your mom was a special woman with so much to offer. I'm grateful that I knew her through the blogging community and for the friends she connected me to.
Sending warm wishes your way.

For one thing, I hope you use google translate for the languages you do not know. It rocks.
I just wanted to say that as someone who has lost her mother, I have such sympathy and compassion for you. It's several years now, and it's still so very strong and real, the sense of loss. But thank goodness that time has this wonderful way of stretching out the OK periods between the pain periods. I know you will experience something similar, as you have humor and intelligence and art, and they all help. I send you, a stranger but a woman who has lost her mother and misses her terribly, my own love.
Awww...what a wonderful article. ((((HUGS))))
I read the tribute. Awe inspiring! You had a great mom who will always live with you.
What a lovely article about Bobbie. She had such a big heart for so many people.
She always, always came by my blog to cheer on my boys, who happen to have autism. It was great to have her in my corner.
Kitty-many hugs to you. May all of these wonderful stories, comments and tributes be healing to you.
