Camera Critters #16

This is a first for me.

I was inspired to enter Camera Critters by today's photo submitted by me ann my camera. I love her submission, and when I saw it I thought of this picture I took in my front yard many years ago. He's appeared in my blog before. I just decided he belonged here. I love grasshoppers and crickets.

For more fun pictures, visit Camera Critters. Thanks to the host who lets us enjoy these pictures every week.

This little one on your flower is really sweet. Do you notice how some little creatures look you right in the eye, like this one seems to be doing! I find I never notice too much excitement being made over grasshoppers, perhaps it difficult to share the summer center stage status with butterflies, or they are more difficult to photograph on the wing.

Thanks you for your mention of mine.

Grasshoppers are really amazing. What a great shot! Thank you for sharing it.

I've told Cunning Runt about Skywatch and Camera Critters. I wish he'd submit some stuff...

KELLY: It may be that we need an update on the Java Script, or else they are just doing something to their site, and it will return soon. When I go to their site it just tells me "Server not found". It will be back.

What a cute little critter. He looks like he is posing for you. This reminded me of a Home Funniest Video. Three guys came across a praying mantis. You know how they look like they are boxing with you. Well the one guy was acting all tough. Calling the Mantis out. Next thing the Mantis leaped at him and he went running screaming like a girl. Good thing your guy wasn't so fietsy or else we would be watching you on Funniest Video's. Lisa

We don't have grasshoppers here - haven't seen one since we left Wales.

I had to laugh about the black lab that was afraid of water because a friend has a Portuguese water dog that will willingly gets his feet wet but has to be coaxed with cookies to swim. ;-)
