Sky Watch 6

The month of August has brought us many days of clear blue skies filled with stacks of bright, fluffy clouds. One day I
started to the super market, but was drawn to the skies. I just had to chase the clouds.

I stopped along the way to photograph the horizon.

I stopped at an athletic field, and found some crepe myrtle blooming nearby, which looked so pretty in the foreground.

I made it all the way to the super market, and stopped in the parking lot.

On the way home, the clouds were behind me.

Couldn't resist pulling into the local airport to see how they looked from there.

The next days were pretty much the same.

One day I took pictures of clouds above a small circus that came to town.

I find it very hard to ignore big marshmallow clouds. I may have to start walking with the rim of my hat pulled low and my head down.

Please go to Sky Watch, hosted by the team: Tom, Sandy, Imax and Klaus, and visit lots of others with wonderful photos.

The first picture is gorgeous. It's as if the clouds have shaped up to mirror the trees underneath.

Clouds riding blue skies is among the most wonderous moments to experience. Puts one in the mood to hum a tune - of the open skies.

Oh Bobbie, please stand up tall and face the clouds! Some day you may find a message written for you up there?

Happy Skywatching, I like the rear view mirror a lot, that mirror (or one like it) shows up on my blog every now and then. :-)
I have posted some Pretty clouds over Guatemala today.

The cape myrtle is so nice! I suspect it wouldn't grow in my part of Ontario though.

Funny how Sky Watch gets us to look UP, isn't it?

That is a beautiful series of photographs. I always love seeing the fluffy white clouds.

On my blog you said about living here 23 yrs. and never going to see the elk-I was 45 years old when I first went and had lived in Pa. all of my life, but that first trip resulted in me becoming addicted to seeing and photographing these majestic animals.

It does seem that August skies are full of bright blues and fluffed up clouds. Great photos.

I love being able to just stop and take a few photos along the way somewhere, it makes it an adventure!

The clouds are beautiful and the sky looks such a bright blue. Reminds me of a child lying on the ground staring up at the sky and trying to make figures out of the clouds.

Beautiful clouds, Bobbie, but I was more attracted to your text because of your cloud chasing spirit I detected there. One of my most pleasurable pastimes is to let the outdoors and rural roads be my guide. As I go out the door I often say, "I'll be back when I get here", for my husband knows that my camera and I are wanderers.
