BANNER

My daughter photographed this banner up in Northampton, Mass.
I like it.

That looks like a nice big banner! And I'm glad to see somebody supporting the troops. Some idiot girl in my class was talking about how all the troops were just "undereducated" and were "only in the army because they had no alternatives and don't know how to find another job." Umm . .. my husband is a lawyer. I didn't appreciate the sentiment. He has other reasons for being in the army that are too boring to mention, but anyway, he's not stupid. Nor are many of the other people over there serving.

Yay support 'em!

I definitely agree, Tranny. I want them home. But while they're there (as well as when they get back) we have to support them in every way we can.

Northampton is about a half-hour south of me. A city I know well and love. You can see why...

Does your daughter live there?

Peace to you, my friend.

No, this is the daughter wo lives in CA. Her in-laws live in Westfield (I think that's right) and they were visiting on the way to Mike's conference in Cape Cod.

Their Flickr site is at kitnmike. Mine is at bobbiepet. You'll see more of Massachusetts at either one.

Perfect sentiment! And I do want to show respect to those serving, but I want it to end. . .

A long time ago, kings would go into battle with the soldiers.
If todays leaders had to go with the troops, we would have instant peace.
