I lost a very dear friend this year and though over the years our paths seldom crossed anymore, the world is bit lonely without him. Friends are very special and I understand the sadness of the loss of one.

Hi Bobbie,
I can tell that Jack is an important person in your life. What a loving gesture to post his image in your blog! I've not been with you long enough to know who he is, but I do know that Parkinson's is a cruel disease. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Thank you all very much for the kind words. Jack was a childhood friend and a Maryknoll priest. He suffered with Parkinson's for a long time, and he died peacefully on Friday. I do appreciate your thoughts.

Dear Bobbie--so sorry about your friend. His face says it all about who he was. What a loss this must be.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I recall your posts about him...he was a very special friend to you. The gift of friendship lives on in our hearts, even though the one we love is no longer with us here on this earth.

Again, thank you all. It's difficult to lose someone you have known all of your life,
but after living so long with Parkinson's, I'm told that he was prepared for it to end, and he was at peace.

Loosing a friend can be difficult. And to have suffered for a long time is heart breaking. I hope he is at peace now.

I'm so sorry to learn that you lost someone close to you.

Memories. They serve us so well during and following grief.

May yours do right by you!
