Now Where Is It?

Just an addendum to my July 12th post.

Today I found another site which offered a counter for U.S. deaths in Iraq. (It's up to
4121 now.) I copied the Java script, went to my layout page and added it to my sidebar. Blogger tells me it's there. Do you see it? I don't. Curiouser and curiouser.

Bobbie, I don't see it anywhere on your blog. Did you paste it in the HTML/javascript box? I wonder why it won't show up.

I don't see it either.

Yes, I pasted it in. And the blogger page says it is there. And when they show the little tools beside each thing, after you have posted something new, there is an extra little set of tools where it belongs. But it isn't there.

All morning blogger told me 'Done' for my Creative Phtography photo. The html code was in the post but the photo wasn't there.

Took several tries to get the photo to actually be there as opposed to blogger being there lol

I would start over again.

No, Bobbie, I don't see it.

Maybe you're right, Dianne. I have tried it again - still no go. But I will continue to try.

Bobbie,

I don't see it anywhere. I've looked several different times today!

I'm giving up. I took some other things off my sidebar, thinking maybe there wasn't room, but that's not it.

Bobbie,

A guy in Canada has a post on his blog that shows the cost of the Iraq war and the site has numerous other stats about it. I don't know if this is one you went to or not, if not maybe this one will let you get this important information "out there". Don't know, but will be interested in hearing if you have any better luck with this one (if it's not one of the ones you have already tried).

Kelly: Thank you very much. This is an interesting site, and, as you can see, I have added a counter for the cost of the war. I was particularly interested in how many comments there were saying it didn't work on their blogs. Apparently it's just one of those things that work for some and not for others. There were also comments asking for them to add the counter for death tolls. They answered that they would look into it.
Again - Thanks.

I don't see it either. It could be the counter itself isn't working properly. Maybe the code is flawed?

I'm glad to see that the "cost of war" (money-wise) is on your blog!! I think what you are doing is very important. I see it at the top of your post! Now, we will have to hope it stays up there!!

I'm sure proud of you and thanks for the nice comments on my blog!

I'm guessing the next post will fill us in on how the "present administration" had something to do with why the thingy didn't work on your sidebar.

Now, Cliff, I'm not quite that paranoid.

But isn't it a sad commentary on our world today, that such a thing does leap to mind?
