Sky Watch

My Sky Watch entry this week is a very old picture. It is probably thirty years old.

This picture was taken soon after we moved to New Jersey from New York. It is of my youngest daughter and her cousin, running up the beach at Cape May Point.

The color may be faded from its original appearance, but I still love it. I hope that you enjoy it too.

Please visit the Sky Watch home site. Many thanks to our hosts, Tom and Jane Wigley, who thought of the idea of Sky Watch. About 280 of us think it's a wonderful idea.

Please forgive me if I don't comment on too many this week. I seem to be having some computer problems.

I do love it. It speaks of childhood happiness and of being carefree. It actually screams that. Wonderful.

Hi Bobbie, that was a pretty place to come. I'll bet you like NJ, at least for a while, I think it was nicer without so many people back then.

I can see why you love it. Especially when I clicked on it to look at it larger, and you can see the body language better and the looks on their faces.

I stared at this lovely photo a long time. I'm not sure I would have guessed it was an old one without your explanation, but you certainly captured the joy and exuberance of youth - mid-dash with one foot raised - and that is timeless. Thank you for sharing the memory.

Time has added mystery
To a picture lost in time
It deserves a comment
So, from me, it has to rhyme!
Now those leaping children
Are washed in a purple haze
Which seems to add a patina
An unexpected glaze.
You could have searched for ever
For a picture such as this,
But Time has done it for you!
A Memory of Bliss.

Love the photo and memory.
I like your Sky Watch.
If you don't have Photoshop, let a Photoshopper run it through "Autocolor" and that will restore it to near original color.

I am trying to visit all today.
It's a fun challenge.

I discontinued verification and moderation today.
