Shadow Shot Sunday #47

Tracey, over in Australia at Hey Harriet, hosts Shadow Shots for us every week. It's a fun meme!

Here is a picture I took in the neighborhood. Maybe it's just me and my perverted sense of humor, but I find this picture very funny. One of my neighbors has several cats, and they are allowed to roam at will. They can be very annoying for a number of reasons. But this one just made me chuckle as he went prowling across the street, towards another cat who was resting by the trash. I wonder if the one on the prowl was about to challenge the other for rights to the trash.

Well, I wouldn't doubt it, cats just love trash! Often when I walk to work early in the morning, I will sometimes see garbage bags torn to shreds and cats happily eating what treasures remain inside!
A great picture!

I love this picture! He does look like he's ready to challenge the one by the can and the one looking over his shoulder at the approaching menance has that wary look! I see a battle ahead! Perfect for today! Enjoy your weekend!

Interesting Shadows too, I don't fancy cats too much, they like to come over and terrorise our koi fishes just by looking at the little pond. Can't stand their night cat fights and growling too. Happy Easter and weekend too.

People who dont neuter their pets should be fined .. and anyone who lets an unneutered cat or dog wander the neighborhood should be made to pay/clean up messes

However this is a good photo.. in addition to the shadows it would make a good jumping off point for a story ..

Love the unusual shadow of the stalking cat! Makes him look like a monster!

I'm with Daryl. I hate that people let their cats roam - it's not safe for the cat, it's bad for birds and other small creatures and it's disrespectful to neighbors.

The picture is great - I can hear the gray cat saying "Yo buddy this is my trash, find your own."

Cats make me laugh too. My cat is currently curled up against the vents of my laptop keeping warm...the laptop will probably explode soon! I like the cat shadow...and the story this picture tells.

Interesting pic.

I keep my cat indoors. I wouldn't want her getting into any danger. And I agree with Daryl, I wish owners would neuter their cats and dogs.

This is funny! I imagine it did end in a big cat fight! There is a cheeky cat that lives next door to me and comes over regularly to stalk my dog while she's having a nap. Very funny to watch!

It certainly doesn't look like a friendly approach! I don't even want to see what happens next...lol. Nice SS.

i have this imagined dialogue in my head as the one cat reaches the other..."so, we've had a block meeting; the rest of the neighborhood cats and i have decided that this trashy roaming about that you and your litter-mates have been up to has got to end. it just makes us all look bad, okay? thanks."

That was my exact thought when a looked at this photo. 'The battle of the bins'. I'm sure they would fight to the end for that discarded tin of sardines ;) Happy Easter!
