Shadow Shot Sunday

On this Shadow Shot Sunday I am visiting a back road lined with phragmites. I know that these wetlands reeds are often considered a nuisance, but I love them. They are so beautiful when the sun shines through their silky tassels. On this day I enjoyed seeing the shadows they create along the road.

If you would like to see many more photos of shadows, or if you would like to join in, please visit Tracey at Hey Harriet. You will find us here every week.

I never knew what these things were called. In my mind I was thinking they were "pampas grass" and left it at that, but it's great to know (they are everywhere here) what they are!

I too love the tall prairie grasses, which is why I don't mow my 6 acres, good food for birds. Cool shots!

This lovely tee lined road looks a lot like ones on the south shore of Long Island.

Native grasses are always in good taste! Especially when they provide photographic opportunities like this.

My son is sitting on my lap admiring the photos with me today. He is enjoying the snow falling.

The photos are lovely and I definitely miss all of those back roads, which can be such a beautiful drive.

Happy Sunday!

I love walking outdoors and there is something very special about wetlands. They always seem sorta romantic like to me. Sorta dreamy. Nice way to spend my Sunday late afternoon!

The road looks very invited to go for a drive. I love driving in the country. The picture of your little grandson sitting in the plant hole is priceless ;D
