Hope for the Future

Deborah, who writes Notes from the Cloud Messenger, has given us a message today that is well worth your time. I really needed to read this. Take a look.

Like many others, I have about reached saturation point, listening to political ads and debates and discussions, and doing my own share of ranting. I have managed to come pretty close to a melt down, worrying about what if? and why don't they?

It's time to step back, take a deep breath, and reassess. As Deborah reminded us, "if we can dream it, we can have it." We can bring about whatever we set our minds to if we work at it. The sun will continue to rise every morning. Each star in the heavens will continue on its appointed journey. And we will overcome.

There are many positive things coming out of all the media nonsense. This Saturday's day of action (thanks to your last post) being one of them. This type of effort does make a difference.
I also find that it's not about convincing the other side that I am right as much as it's about joining together with like minded people and moving forward.
Thanks for the thought provoking post Bobbie.

Just imagine what we Canadians are being blasted with.
An American election campaign and a Canadian election campaign at the same time.
This is definitely a case of overload.

Well, you know I feel the very same way. It's entirely too easy to get sucked down to the depths and feeling dispair and I've surely been guilty of that recently. But it is up to each of us to keep looking up and forward and doing all we can, each in our own way, but together as a whole to make a difference -- THE difference. Thanks for the reminder!

Thank you for sharing this link. We all NEED such reminders ... and to know we're not the only ones feeling and thinking these things. It's why I shared what I did in my Monday Motivator at Sacred Ruminations earlier this week.
Hugs and blessings,

AMEN!! We need to focus on what we want to happen and stay focused on that and not on the negative.
