Sky Watch Friday #32
It's Sky Watch Friday, and the team of Klaus, Sandy, Ivar, Wren, Fishing Guy and Louise have another week's meme prepared for us.
This past week I drove over to the Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor. When I left the house it was sunny and warm. By the time I got there (It's only a short drive) it was getting cloudy and the wind had picked up, making it really chilly
.
I had intended to walk along the Salt Marsh Trail all the way to the water, but I quickly changed my mind and went back to my car. I really wasn't dressed for it.
If you'd like to join in, or just to see sky-related pictures from around the world, go to the
Sky Watch Friday site.

How pretty it is in winter ... only having been there during the month of September the difference in seasons is strong and lovely
That is a chilly blustery-looking sky!
I hate when the weather changes like that so quickly... it's like mother nature laughing at you. Ha Ha, you fell for it!
oh well, there'll be sunnier days. I do love the photo looking up through the tree.
Oooohhhh! It looks like a very cool day. Here's wishing you a happy weekend.
Love the variety here; it looks brisk! I really like the salt marsh grasses with the water and snow.
It does look cold! Surely spring will arrive --- won't it??? Love your photos as always. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend.
Excellent skywatch contribution, thanks for sharing.
Have a great weekend!

Salt Marsh Trail ... beautiful.
Thank you for sharing your walk with us, I miss the sea! I loved to walk on trails along Chesapeake Bay's marshes.
I'm glad it was not a log drive! Too bad you had to go back home.

Such stark beauty! You really captured the feel of that blustery day. Love that neat building, the cupola and weather vane. It must be a beautiful excursion, in more clement weather! /Deb
It looks like a blustery day and not something I would want to be out unless I was packing a nice warm parka and a thermos of hot tea!
Very nice photos!

I love the architecture of that weatered gray building! Looks like a cold and blustery day. How well I remember them! Time for some hot chocolate!
Blustery grey day, coud be the UK
I've had it in my mind for a while to do a series on weather vanes. I just have to find the right part of the state to drive through and collect a few!

Such a wintery cold-looking sky. But the surroundings are beautiful.
lovely...
My entry for SWF this week : in HERE. Hope you have time to visit . Thanks
Hello! These are great pictures. I love the weather vane. Lis
I enjoyed the photos. I hope it soon warms up there, so you can go for long walks to take more to share with us. :-)
Brrrr... Great shots, and I really like the building, can the general public go up in the cupola?
You can definitely feel the chill in the air looking at your photos.
You snapped some nice ones, though, Bobbie. I love the third one, especially. I have a thing for photographs of paths and roads. This one is so evocative of the way you describe the weather. Looks cold!
Nice series of photos. They make me homesick for the east coast.
Looks like an interesting place to visit ... I'm visiting later than usual but did participate at Sacred Ruminations and Happily Retired Gal this week.
Hugs and blessings,
